The project has been successful to date in progressing through the completion of all environmental approvals and is nearing the completion of cultural heritage assessments.
Funding secured for the project, based on the original concept and business case includes:
- $32 million from the State Government
- $32 million from the Australian Government through the National Water Grid Fund
- $15.5 million from GWMWater
- $5.7 million from landowners (via the Capital Contributions)
We are currently working through the commitments made via returned Heads of Agreement contracts to develop a modified design which can be delivered with the available funding. Wherever possible, the design will allow for phased delivery which will enable future extensions as we have continued to pursue any opportunities for additional funding.
