GWMWater, together with the Victorian Government, is giving urban customers the opportunity to install a three star showerhead in an exchange program for an old inefficient water wasting showerhead.

To get your free showerhead call into either our Ararat, Birchip or Horsham offices with your old inefficient showerhead.

>     Two showerheads are available per household.
>     Showerheads are not suitable for households that have a gravity fed hot water service.
>     Your old inefficient water wasting showerhead cannot be returned to you, regardless of the reason.

Water saving tips:

>     Keep a bottle of drinking water in the fridge to avoid running the tap each time someone needs a glass of water. 

>     Wash fruit and vegies in a kitchen sink half filled with water instead of under a running tap.

>     Make sure the washing machine and dishwasher are full before using. 
       A half load of clothes or dishes just wastes water and power. 

>     Use a glass of water when brushing your teeth rather than running the tap. 

>     Change to a water-efficient shower rose in the bathroom and have shorter showers. If you need a soak, use the bath.

>     Install a dual flush system in the toilet or place a brick in your old cistern and teach children to use the half flush button. 

>     When buying new water using appliances check the ‘AAA’ water efficiency rating.
