GWMWater has participated in a sponsorship program in conjunction with regionally based Universities over the last five years.  This year the program has been placed with the Bendigo Campus of Latrobe University.

The program was initiated to:

• Identify potential new employees in hard to fill professional positions.
• Provide work placements to assist GWMWater staff on a range of engineering, operational or environmental projects.
• Establish a link with a respected tertiary institution, which may facilitate research and development projects in the future.
• Promote GWMWater as a leader in training and development both within the Wimmera/Mallee but also in the Ballarat/Bendigo areas.
• Enhance our public image as a preferred employer.

The graduate program has to date been very successful in delivering on all the criteria for which it was established.
