GWMWater has an Environmental Management System (EMS), which is a requirement under the Water Industry Act 1994.  The EMS has been developed and is maintained to the requirement of AS ISO 14001:2004.

Through this system, GWMWater identifies its everyday risks to the environment and ranks these risks according to their impact on the environment. From here, GWMWater can set targets and undertake routine monitoring, awareness and training. The organisation also maintains this to proactively control environmental incidents and GWMWater’s overall impact on the environment.
