Biosolids

Biosolids are the organic by product produced during the biological treatment of sewage; these solids are a beneficial source of organic carbon, moisture, nutrients and trace elements.

These properties make biosolids an ideal soil conditioner and can be beneficially used to improve soil, to add beneficial nutrients and trace elements to agricultural soils or in remediation of land. When used in place of, or as a supplement to traditional fertilisers, biosolids can be a highly competitive commodity.

GWMWater is able to supply high quality biosolids due to the nature of the wastewater in the region, there is relatively little trade waste and we do not have the heavy industrial inputs of other regions, which can contaminate biosolids with unwanted compounds and render them unsuitable.
